buzzmag.gif (3040 bytes) There is a word that perfectly describes well-known guitar wizard, Angelo Jannotti's new CD "eclecticacousticelectric" and that word is phenomenal. For anyone who appreciates instrumental music, this CD is a must-have. Standout cuts are "Remorse" (it rocks); "Love Psycho Surfer" (wild ride, with a Middle Eastern undertone); and "Song from a Dream" (new age feel, lilting melody, blended with strong power transitions, very nice).

jam_folio.gif (1773 bytes) When I first met  Angelo Jannotti at the JAM offices this past June, I had no idea that underneath his mild-mannered demeanor lies a true guitar monster. So, when I listened to his debut solo CD, "eclecticacousticelectric", I was truly overwhelmed, both by Angelo's level of talent and the quality of the production.

Angelo displays a technical mastery of the guitar that is on par with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. He is lightning fast, yet clean, fluid and melodic, with a tone reminiscent of Eric Johnson. Indeed, if there were room for more more on the G3 Tour, Angelo Jannotti would make a perfect G4.

Connections Magazine With this guitar-oriented album ["eclecticacousticelectric"], Angelo Jannotti is destined to join the ranks of guitarists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson. Solid instrumentals ranging from the boogie-styled "Remorse," to the funky "Funken Wagnel," to the jazzy "Antacid Jazz." A must-have for guitarists!

--Carl Zurowski, Connections Magazine, August 1998

GDP Records Angelo Jannotti's "eclecticacousticelectric" is a masterpiece of guitar virtuosity. When most instrumental albums are presentations of incessant musical calisthenics, "eclecticacousticelectric" shows Angelo's great reverence for melody and space. While Angelo (as you will witness) has the speed, dexterity and chops of Van Halen or Vai, the emphasis of the album is taste. An incrediby enjoyable album that should be mandatory listening for all aspiring guitarists.
